Sensor-Enabled Orthopedic Treatment & Compliance System
Connected-medical-product leadership spanning a physical orthotic, compliance sensing, chip-reader software, digital reporting and web workflows, study support, field training, and commercialization implementation.
Results and contributions.
Operating context
An orthopedic product program combined a physical device with compliance sensing, reader/software workflows, digital reporting, clinician and patient resources, study support, training, and commercial implementation.
What made the work difficult
The product required coordination across hardware, sensing, software, web reporting, study support, training, and commercialization. These components had to work together through launch, field use, issue resolution, and re-release.
Responsibility and authority
Dean provided executive product and operations leadership, supported study and reporting access, coordinated implementation and commercialization, and directed field-training and issue-resolution work with clinical, sensor-technology, product-design, and software specialists.
How the work moved forward
- Coordinated the orthopedic product with compliance-monitoring, reader, software, reporting, and web-resource workstreams.
- Supported study access and reporting workflows.
- Integrated procedures, agreements, implementation materials, and field training into the product-launch process.
- Led cross-functional issue management and re-release work across a multi-year connected-product program.
