Situation

Operating context

Orthopedic practices needed better control of DME inventory, replenishment, product-to-HCPCS relationships, utilization, dispensing, procurement, and management reporting. PPI had domain knowledge that could be converted into a practice-facing operating solution.

What made the work difficult

The product had to translate inventory, replenishment, dispensing, billing-support, and supplier requirements into usable software and a practical implementation model for orthopedic practices.

Responsibility and authority

Dean led the concept, business model, functional design, and implementation of the DME Advantage solution. His work covered practice workflows, inventory and replenishment logic, HCPCS and product relationships, reporting, commercialization, onsite implementation, training, and post-implementation review.
