Digital Transformation

Digital transformation is useful when technology changes how the organization operates, not simply when new software is installed.

How I approach it

What this means in my work.

The transformation work in my career has usually combined systems with process redesign, data, organizational roles, controls, and adoption. I look for the operating change the technology is supposed to enable and then work backward into requirements and implementation.

That perspective matters because digital programs often fail in the gaps between technical delivery and operating acceptance. A system can be live and still not be integrated into the way people plan, make, move, sell, or support the work.

In practice

Technology matters when the operating model changes with it.

These examples combine digital systems with process, data, governance, and cross-functional adoption.

Across these examples

The recurring pattern.

The common pattern is that transformation crossed organizational boundaries. Sustainable change required the technology, process, data, controls, and people model to be designed as one system.
